9 November 1998

Cherryville, N.C.-Control Racing of Cherryville, N.C. and driver Rusty Wise announced today, their plans to compete for the 1999 Goody's Dash, Series "Rookie of the Year" title with backing from Invinca-Shield, Inc. headquartered in Elkin, N.C.

"We are very fortunate to have a great company such as Invinca-Shield as our primary sponsor for the season," said Wise. "'We've been using the Invinca-Shield products on all our racecars for some time now, and we think it's great. But I tell you, its really nice having a relationship with a sponsor that reflects the same high standards and values that we strive for everyday here on this team."

"We're very excited about being involved with both, Rusty and the Control Racing team, and the Goody's Dash Series," added Daniel Bauguess, President of Invinca-Shield, Inc. "We've been looking at a lot of different options over the past months and I think we found an excellent match. There's no doubt that Rusty is a very talented driver and an exceptional person, and we're happy to just to be able to help in any way we can. Furthermore, we feel certain that the product exposure that we will get through our affiliation with him and the Goody's Dash Series will be mutually beneficial to all parties."

Invinca-Shield is a clear protective 3M film that is applied to vulnerable areas of a vehicle to protect against damage such as bug acids and rock chips. Invinca-Shield, Inc. offers over 1800 kits which are available for cars, trucks, motorcycles, RV's and semi-trucks.

In motorsports, the Invinca-Shield is an invisible bra used primarily on the nosepieces of racecars to protect them from paint damage. The product is currently being used in NASCAR Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, Goody's Dash and in other NASCAR Touring series.

Wise has run selected events in the Goody's Dash Series, a part of the NASCAR Touring Division for the past two years with strong 1998 finishes at Daytona, Charlotte, and Bristol. Rusty and the Control Racing Team plan to use their time in the Series to hone the skills required to eventually move on toward the NASCAR Winston Cup Series sometime in the future.
