Quotes from Mike McLaughlin, 1997 Busch Series Most Popular Driver:

"I am really looking forward to racing in Bristol on Friday night. I feel like I have come a long way since I first raced in Bristol back in 1994. I failed to qualify for both of those races and left the track feeling pretty down. I struggled there again over the next few races before I received some great racing advice. I was on the Kyle Petty Charity Motorcycle Ride and I got to know Harry Gant. Harry probably got around Bristol better than just about anyone. I decided to ask Harry for help in getting around Bristol, and ever since I have raced Bristol totally different and had some super races there. It just goes to show you, never be afraid to ask for help. I bet Harry could climb into a car this weekend and still contend for a victory here!"
