NASCAR WCUP: Mark Martin Loses Family Members in Plane Crash

Julian Martin, the father of NASCAR Winston Cup driver Mark Martin, was killed in a plane crash in Nevada Saturday night. Also killed in the crash were Julian's wife and their 11 year old daughter.

Funeral services for the Martins will be held Wednesday in Arkansas. Julian Martin was an Arkansas businessman.

Mark Martin, who finished second at Watkins Glen International Sunday, was not informed of the tragedy until after the race. Martin plans to participate in the NASCAR Winston Cup race Sunday at Michigan Speedway.
